Father's Day Art

Students had a great time working on Art work for Father's Day.  Flowers were made from plasticine.

In Science the students are observing the life cycle of the Painted Lady Butterfly. We will make observations and capture images at every stage.

Simple Machines

Lever - students try to balance a coin using the ruler and marker to create a lever.

Science Centre

Our trip to the Science Centre was quite fun and educational.  Students were introduced to simple machines and they got a chance to explore and work with materials to reinforce their learning. This was a great introduction to this unit in Science as students will be using simple machines to create their own product. These will be shared once they are completed.

Recycling in the Classroom

In Room 18 we are making use of cardboard boxes to store files and folders. Boxes are relabeled with names for easy identification.

Social Studies - 7 Continents

Students in Grade 2B use paper plates, paint and paper to display the 7 continents. 

Earth Rangers Visit to Westmount

Today students were happy to welcome the Earth Rangers team to Westmount. They got a chance to see a few protected animals and learn about how the team is helping to keep them safe.

Winter Art

Students proudly display their Winter Art created using construction paper and chalk. This was a fun activity for students to work on in Art class.

FUN FRIDAY

Today we started Fun Friday. Students got a chance to continue their learning in a fun game-based environment.  We had several centres that students experienced on a rotating schedule for the day.
